Tony is a Licensed Practical Nurse with a degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Tony has been a Research Coordinator with the Research Department at PHC of Pinellas since 2010. He began his nursing career after serving in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Tony then went on to work as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Neuropathology Department studying Neurofilament Proteins and Alzheimers Disease. In addition to clinical research, Tony is also a Diabetes Educator for our patients here at PHC of Pinellas.
Liz has been a Research Coordinator with the Clinical Research Department at PHC of Pinellas since 2015. In addition to providing outstanding care to patients who participate in our studies, she firmly believes that clinical research is an integral part of the healthcare field that explores ways to improve treatment methods and overall quality of life for a wide variety of individuals with chronic illnesses. Liz received her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Biological Health Sciences from the University of South Florida and her Associates Degree in Nursing from St. Petersburg College.
Rebecca “Dawn” McCrery
Rebecca joined the Clinical Research Department of PHC in August 2019. Dawn has 10 years of clinical research experience and has specialized in fields such as Oncology, and Asthma and Immunology. Dawn brings years of experience in regulatory and trial management. She strongly believes research is key component to the advancement in treatments for a wide variety of diseases and conditions. Dawn received her Associates of Science degree from St. Petersburg College.
Nicole joined the PHC Clinical Research in July 2019. Nicole brings with her over 9 years of experience in health care where she previously worked as an Emergency MedicalTechnician and transitioned into her career in clinical research. Nicole previously specialized in hematology, oncology, neurology and pain management. Nicole has an extensive knowledge of drafting contract and budgets, recruiting, quality assurance, and quality control. Nicole obtained her Masters of Biomedical Science from University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey.
Dr. Fadi E. Saba, MD
Dr. Saba is board-certified in Internal Medicine. He has been conducting clinical research for over ten years during which he has been involved with over 30 trials as the Principal Investigator. His experience includes cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, dyslipidemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and pain management among many others. Dr. Saba completed his medical degree at the American School of Beirut in Lebanon. He then went on to complete his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, a Johns Hopkins affiliate. Dr. Saba later went on to found Professional Heath Care of Pinellas in 1997.
Dr. Soratree Charoenthongtrakul, PhD
Dr. Charoenthongtrakul has over 15 years of research experience in both the preclinical and clinical setting. In previous positions, he has designed, conducted, and analyzed experiments for presentation at national and international conferences. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in therapeutic areas such as endocrinology, cancer biology, and immunology. Dr. Charoenthongtrakul received his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Miami and completed his Post-Doctoral fellowship in Viral Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland.
